Pune (Maharashtra), Jan 27 (ANI): In major water pollution testimony, Pune’s Indrayani river is turning toxic due to toxic foam. What looks like snow floating over a river, is actually toxic foam which is raising alarm among residents. Some residents also called out factories for releasing unfiltered chemicals in the river. Locals living in the area are also witnessing issues like disease spread that are spreading due to toxic river. Demands from the government to take action over the matter, are also becoming common. People continue to use the water of the river for daily and religious purposes despite the pollution.
