New Delhi, Jan 28 (ANI): Recalling Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with the Chinese ambassador over the Doklam crisis in 2017, Union External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar on January 28 took a jibe at Congress leader and said that he would rather go to the military officials to know about the border situation and not to another country’s ambassador. “China took this land in 1962. But the country gives the impression as if the incident happened recently. People say that you are not thinking with an open mind. But at least I know where I have to go. I will go to our military officials and not the Chinese ambassador. You say I lack confidence. It might be possible,” Jaishankar said. Jaishankar’s remark was in context to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s meeting with Chinese ambassador at the time of Doklam crisis in 2017. The meeting led to an intensified slugfest between the BJP and Congress at the time.
