Devotees take holy dip in Sarayu river on Ganga Dussehra

Ayodhya (UP), June 20 (ANI): On the occasion of Ganga Dussehra, devotees were seen taking holy dip in Sarayu River in Ayodhya on June 20. Ganga Dussehra is important because it is said that ‘Ganga Maa’ comes to meet her devotees on this auspicious day. This festival is celebrated with a lot of enthusiasm in cities like Prayagraj and Varanasi. It is believed that taking holy dip on this day can remove cleanse their sins. “Today taking a bath in the ganga river is important so that we can get rid of our sins, pray to our ancestors, seek their forgiveness and take the blessings of ganga maa. We thought that after the corona get over we would go for ganga dussehra,” said devotee.
