Centre gives Rs 28,000 cr subsidy on fertilizers to benefit farmers

New Delhi, Oct 18 (ANI): Union Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers Mansukh Mandaviya on October 18 said that the Centre has given Rs 28,000 crore subsidy on fertilizers to benefit farmers so as to enable them to purchase fertilizers at the same rate despite the hike in their prices in the international market. Speaking to ANI, Mandaviya said, “The subsidy in Urea is increased from Rs 1500 to 2000 per bag, DAP to 1650, NPK from Rs 900 to 1015, SSP from Rs 315 to 375. In total, in the Rabi season, PM has given Rs 28,000 cr to farmers in the form of subsidized fertilizer”.
