After the ongoing 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', which is to culminate in Srinagar on January 26, the Congress is gearing up to launch the 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' campaign, which is aimed at spreading the message of the yatra across the country.
As the Bharat Jodo Yatra completed its Rajasthan leg and despite a presumed reconiciliatory meeting between chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot with Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, there seems to no sign of a "full stop" to the feud between Chief Minister and his former deputy.
According to sources, Venugopal, who came to Delhi after meeting Rahul and Priyanka during Bharat Jodo Yatra, had a discussion with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on the political crisis. After that, Venugopal's upcoming journey to Jaipur on November 29 was decided.
Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, who is leading the party's 'Bharat Jodo Yatra', will address a mega rally in Madhya Pradesh's Mhow, the birthplace of Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, on Constitution Day on November 26.
Congress sources said internal surveys indicate that the party is likely to get a majority in Himachal polls leading to increasing the number of contenders for the chief minister's post.
Soon after he became president, Kharge started meeting leaders and workers by giving appointments at his home. He also plunged into the electoral campaign for Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat elections.
