The Election Commission of Pakistan rejected the pleas of PTI leaders seeking an exemption from appearing before the commission and issued arrest warrants for them against surety bonds of Rs 50,000 each.
PTI has decided to take up the issue at the apex court where an application will be moved next week as the resignations of PTI lawmakers of the National Assembly have not been accepted by the speaker.
Raja Parvaiz Ashraf stressed that the process of verification of resignations cannot be conducted in a proper manner if the members of the National Assembly come in a group.
Former Prime Minister of Pakistan and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan on Friday directed his party leaders to "Please ensure there is no criticism of the new Chief and Army Staff."
