Islamabad local court Additional Sessions Judge Zafar Iqbal while hearing the criminal proceedings against the PTI chief today, announced February 7 as the date of the indictment in the Toshakhana case.

The security has been withdrawn when Imran Khan is accusing the former president and Pakistan People's Party (PPP) co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari of hatching a conspiracy to assassinate him by giving a contract to a terrorist outfit, Express Tribune newspaper reported.
Khan while condemning Fawad Chaudhry's arrest, said the legal fraternity and judiciary should play their role in the current situation and that those who did not present him before the court must be held accountable.
Criticising the arrest of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhary, former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday called on the judges of the apex court to protect the fundamental rights of his party.
The PTI lawmakers had resigned from the lower house of the parliament after PTI chief Imran Khan's ouster in April 2022 but the National Assembly Speaker had accepted only 11 of the resignations then.
Khan said that he has no links with the current Pakistan army chief, General Syed Asim Munir and claimed that the general elections will take place in April 2023.
"I hope the serving army chief would ensure transparent general elections. The amount of power that the military has is not possessed by any other institution," the PTI chief said.
Khan while speaking at a seminar on terrorism organised by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government in Islamabad, said that the PTI government had planned to relocate at least 5,000 TTP fighters and their family members which amount to about 35,000, but the plan did not go through as the provinces
