Pakistan PM's Office and Presidency are at odds again as President ignored the parliamentary affairs ministry's summary for a joint sitting for the third time.
The president returned the bill days after the Senate had passed it after Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani had hurriedly summoned a session of the upper house of the parliament last Friday on the government's requisition when President Alvi had refused to do so.
President Arif Alvi on Thursday signed the summary and approved the appointment of Lieutenant General Asim Munir as the next Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and Lt Gen Sahir Shamshad Mirza as chairman of the joint chiefs of staff committee (CJCSC).
