The External Affairs Minister on Friday met Sri Lankan president to strengthen bilateral ties under India's Neighbourhood First policy.
External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from January 19-20, 2023.
Maldives Foreign Minister Abdulla Shahid, on Wednesday, appreciated India's Neighbourhood First Policy and said that New Delhi is always the first responder in a time of crisis.
According to the statement, Jaishankar will visit to Maldives and Sri Lanka from January 18-20. During his visit to Maldives, Jaishankar would call on President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih and will also hold discussions with the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abdulla Shahid.
