Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement said that Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) Brigadier Mustafa Kamal Barki while leading the encounter from the front was killed and seven other soldiers were wounded.
The ISPR in a statement said that an intense exchange of fire took place between the two sides, adding that Brigadier Mustafa Kamal Barki was killed "while leading the encounter from the front" and seven others were injured, including two who were critically wounded.
Security forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition including improvised explosive devices (IEDs) during an intelligence-based operation (IBO) conducted in the Rehman Kahul area of Balochistan's Chaman, the military's media wing said informed, Tribune reported.
