The facility of which the foundation stone was laid by PM Modi in 2016, is a dedicated new greenfield helicopter factory and it which will enhance the capacity and ecosystem to build helicopters, officials said.
"I want to congratulate the state Tourism department and the company, Soaring Aerospace Pvt Ltd, for making the first helicopter service available in Goa. Since ours is a tourist state, this step was very important," Pramod Sawant told ANI.
The Coast Guard Ships Samarth took the Governor to the sea. Apart from Samarth, Sarang, Samar, Abhinav, Anagh, C-162, C-410, AB Urja Pravaha, Dornier, Advanced Light Aircrafts and Chetak Helicopters also participated in the events at sea.
Officials said that body parts of one pilot have been retrieved while two other pilots in the Sukhoi who ejected from their plane were rescued and taken to the hospital in a helicopter.
