The Narcotics Cell of Delhi Police has busted an active supply chain of women drug peddlers in Outer North Delhi and recovered heroin worth Rs 10 lakh in the international market from their possession, officials said on Saturday.
Visakhapatnam Special Enforcement Bureau (SEB) Joint Director Bammidi Srinivasa Rao said, "SEB officials will act more strictly in the case of illegal drug sellers who are ruining the future of the youth".
A total of six drug peddlers have been arrested within three days by Anantnag Police during its special drive. The accused has been identified as Mukhtar Ahmad Shah, a resident of Darpora Chee. Police said they have registered a case and taken up an investigation.
In a joint operation, the police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday seized 3.5 kg of heroin worth Rs 16 crore from a vehicle and arrested two drug peddlers in Assam's Karbi Anglong district.
