During the Holi season, the police will set up pickets to check the use of black films, triple riding, underage driving and driving without a helmet, said Delhi police on Monday.
Delhi Traffic Police have made special traffic arrangements for Shab-e-Barat, an Islamic ceremonial festival celebrated on the intervening night of March 7 and March 8 wherein a large number of devotees from Delhi and outside are likely to offer prayers at graveyards and mosques in Delhi.
Bharat Jodo Yatra is expected to resume at around 1000 hours from Marghat wale Baba, Hanuman Mandir, near Red Fort, and will reach the Loni Border at about 1200 hours.
Starting from January 1, 2023, both the carriageways of the Ashram Flyover Road will be closed due to the construction of a connecting road between the Ashram Flyover and New Delhi-Noida Direct (DND) Flyover, informed the Public Works Department (PWD).
"1850 traffic police personnel will do joint checking with local police, 125 points have been identified for a drunken drive, apart from this mobile teams will also be deployed, will take action against the drunken drive and under age driving," said Yadav.
