Delhi's Dwarka court on Monday extended the judicial custody of Sahil Gahlot and six others including his father and two cousins, accused in the Nikki Yadav murder case.
No visible marks of injury was found on the body of the deceased. According to police, the preliminary investigations have revealed the cause of death to be smothering.
Sahil further claimed that he had decided to push Nikki out of the car. However the plan could not be executed and he killed Nikki at Nigambodh Ghat, the police sources added.
Earlier today, Delhi Police's Crime Branch after interrogating Sahil at length revealed that the accused and the deceased girl were married and not just mere live-in partners.
The father of 25-year-old Haryana woman Nikki Yadav, who was murdered allegedly by her live-in partner, on Wednesday demanded that he be hangled till death.
A catering staff was allegedly beaten to death by two men using a plastic tray after an altercation with the DJ coordinator at a wedding function last night, said the police.
