A plea seeking an early hearing of the petition against the Collegium system for the appointment of judges and revival of the National Judicial Appointment Commission (NJAC) for the purpose was mentioned in the Supreme Court on Wednesday.
The Supreme Court Collegium on Wednesday, recommended names of various Additional Judges for their appointment as Permanent Judges in different high courts including Delhi HC.
Judges of High Courts are transferred as per the procedure laid down in the Memorandum of Procedure prepared in 1998 pursuant to the Supreme Court, said the Ministry in its reply in Parliament.
