Protest erupts in Allahabad over law student death, bus torched

Allahabad (Uttar Pradesh)[India], Feb.12 (ANI): A group of people torched a bus in Uttar Pradesh's Allahabad on Monday in a protest against the death of a law student of Allahabad University.

The 26-year-old Dilip Saroj succumbed to his injuries yesterday after being thrashed by a group of people during an argument in Allahabad's Katra Bazar on Saturday.

The Uttar Pradesh Police on Sunday arrested the main accused in the case after a video of the incident went viral on social media.

The police also identified, Vijay Shankar, a Train Ticket Examiner (TTE) as one of the attackers.(ANI)
