New Delhi [India], October 10 (ANI): Hollywood actress Jessica Chastain has finally weighed in on the explosive Harvey Weinstein scandal, revealing that she has been well aware throughout her career of the ex-mogul's reputation for sexually harassing women.

Taking to Twitter, the actress wrote, "I was warned from the beginning. The stories were everywhere. To deny that is to create an environment for it to happen again."

A user on Twitter asked her about working in a movie by 'Weinstein Company'. To this, she replied, "No. He bought films that I already made."

The 'Miss Sloane' star also wrote that 'Eleanor Rigby' was distributed by The Weinstein Company "because the director wanted him, even after I spoke against it."

Many Hollywood A-listers have been speaking about this matter.

The 20-time Oscar nominated actress Meryl Streep also slammed the founder of Weinstein Company and called intrepid women who raised their voices to expose this abuse their heroes, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Rose McGowan, revealed to be one of the women, who accepted a settlement from Weinstein following an encounter with him at the 1997 Sundance Film Festival, has also been hitting the scandal hard on her social media accounts. (ANI)
