Chaitra Navratri 2023: A guidebook of foods to be consumed during these nine days
Chaitra Navratri, also known as Vasant Navratri, is observed by keeping a fast for nine consecutive days while worshipping nine different forms of Goddess Durga. People who observe fast generally refrain from having meat, grains, alcohol, onion, garlic and stale foods. Delicacies such as Sabudana khichdi, fruit chaat, kheer and kuttu ki poori are some of the most popular dishes cooked during the Navratri festivities. This year, the Navaratri will start on March 22 and continue till March 30. Ahead of the festival, let's have a look at the veg dishes which are easy to cook and delicious to eat.
